Call Now to Book Your Initial Consultation

  • Speak with an accredited family law specialist
  • Expert advice focused on your situation

At The Family Lawyers, we do things a little differently. The risks of poor upfront advice is too high to put your property settlement and children access agreement at compromise.

That's why we don't offer initial free 20-minute consultants that achieve nothing!

At the Family Lawyers we don't waste your time

Family law is a sensitive matter. Not easily discussed in 20-minutes with a junior lawyer. That's why we do charge an initial (albeit affordable) consultation fee. But in exchange, you get the focussed attention of our highly-experienced, accredited family law specialist,  Suzzane Harrison.

Suzanne's aim in this initial consultation is to talk through your situation and outline the steps involved in advancing your family law claim.

Suzanne will apply her 25-plus years in Family Law to give you practical legal overview on what you realistically can and can't achieve in your settlement.

One of her top priorities will be to establish the actions you will need to take as not to damage your chances of a favourable settlement if you decide to take the matter further.

As you would expect from one of Queensland's most experienced accredited Family Lawyers, Suzanne's time is always in demand. That's why you must call in advance to book this initial consultation. And it's why we must charge a small fee in exchange for Suzanne's in-demand time.

Submit the form now to have a team member call you back to explain the fee involved and the incredibly value you'll get in exchange.

(8am - 5pm, Mon to Fri)

Questions you’ll work through

Suzanne will help you examine what you want from your separation — and your future.

  • Do you want to you keep the home? Will you be able to keep the house? Will the kids be living with me?
  • Are there other valuable or sentimental assets you want to keep or is there a business you need to preserve? Or is your over-riding aim to ensure you get to spend more than every other weekend with your children?

Suzanne will also help you answer key questions such as whether you should stay in the house, or whether you ought to move out while everything is worked out.
